About Leah Austin

I believe that everyone has a unique story. One that includes challenges and successes. Your story matters to me! I believe that change and healing happens within relationships and needs to include all of who a person is. I want to get to know you, where you have been and where you hope to go. Together we can work through your concerns. Whether you are seeking therapy as an individual, couple, or family you will be provided with a safe, non-judgmental place to explore and gain insight and skills to live your best life. I am honored to work collaboratively with people from a holistic, strengths and relationship-based approach.

Life has many twists and turns and everyone deserves someone to help them navigate through the tough times so life doesn’t become too overwhelming.

Everyone needs a direction, once in a while.

I have over 20 years of experience working with individuals and families from diverse backgrounds. I have a passion for helping individuals and families develop and thrive, even through the difficult times. I have a special interest in the parent-child relationship as this can be one of the most challenging relationships one encounters, but also the most satisfying.

In my career as a Marriage and Family Therapist I have clinically treated clients with a wide range of challenges such as: Anxiety, Depression, Post-Traumatic Stress, Relational issues, Attachment Issues, Adoption adjustment, Child Protection issues, Families reuniting, Blended family/co-parenting issues, Divorce Recovery, Infant Mental Health, Parent/Child relational issues, Self-Identity, Grief and Loss, Life Transitions, Child behavioral issues, School Difficulty, Parenting Issues, and Stress Management.

I work collaboratively with clients to develop a plan for treatment based on the needs and approach that is comfortable for the client. Some of the approaches I use are: Accelerated Resolution Therapy, Strength-based, Narrative, Cognitive Behavioral therapy, Emotionally Focused Couples therapy, Co-parenting, Parent-Child relational therapy, Mindfulness, and Intergenerational therapy.

Think of us as your cheerleaders on the sidelines. You've seen it, the smile, the simple nod of the head. Small gestures that say: we understand, we are listening and we are here for you. That's who we are.
