Dr. Juliette Petersen is a board certified general adult psychiatrist. She obtained her undergraduate degree at University Wisconsin at Madison. She attended medical school at University Nebraska Medical Center in Omaha Nebraska where she graduated with honors and is a member of Alpha Omega Alpha a medical honor Society. She then completed general psychiatry residency at the University Minnesota.
During residency she obtained intensive psychotherapy training and cognitive behavioral therapy, interpersonal therapy, group therapy, supportive therapy and psychodynamic therapy. She finds her therapy training to be essential to her clinical practice. She has been practicing in private practice in Edina for years and is excited about the opportunity to work in a setting to collaborate with psychotherapists.
Her treatment approach is to work with clients to find a combination of therapy and medications if necessary for treatment. Her clients feel heard in the process and supported to express themselves openly in a supportive non-judgmental environment.
