Dr Massa holds board certifications in General Psychiatry and Addiction Psychiatry. He treats adults with most mental health conditions and is passionate about building a good therapeutic relationship with his patients and partner with them to help them reach their individual goals.
Dr Massa completed his psychiatric residency training in Maimonides Medical Center in New York and then did an advanced fellowship in addiction psychiatry at Yale University School of Medicine. Dr Massa has been a faculty member at Yale University for several years and at Ohio State University. He has several publications, is member of the American Psychiatric Association (APA), the American Academy of Addiction Psychiatry (AAAP) and has served as System Medical Director for one of the largest systems in Minneapolis.
Dr Massa believes that listening to a person’s history, making a good diagnosis and a tailored treatment plan are pivotal for good outcomes. Dr Massa uses his knowledge of medication management combined with concepts of dynamic, cognitive behavioral and supportive psychotherapy to help others.
