Sex positivity is a core value here at Choices. We recognize that many clients have been harmed because their sexuality was invalidated by other treatment providers. We assert that sexual diversity is a normal and healthy dynamic of human behavior. Recognizing that there is a significant social stigma around non-monogamy, fetish, kink, BDSM, polyamory, erotic role play, shadow play, full-time play, and professional play, we strive to affirm and continue to educate ourselves about these and other experiences. We recognize that secrecy can breed shame, so we are committed to helping clients cope with their need for privacy in affirming ways. We support and encourage clients to connect with communities that celebrate these practices, because many find them to be enriching, healing, and empowering.
