Dr. Erin Soto

About Erin Soto

Dr. Erin Callahan Soto is a board certified general adult psychiatrist who combines expert medication management with a deep therapeutic understanding of each client.

Dr. Soto specializes in creating a supportive non-judgmental environment that allows her clients to express themselves openly. Together they identify the focus and origins of their emotional suffering and collaborate to find a combination of therapy and medications, if indicated, to help them feel better.

Everyone needs a direction, once in a while.

Dr. Soto obtained her undergraduate degree at Yale University in Music and Premedical Studies. She attended medical school at Albert Einstein College of Medicine in the Bronx, NY where she graduated with honors and a distinction in psychiatric research. She then completed general psychiatry residency training at Columbia University in New York City, NY where she also graduated with honors.

During residency Dr. Soto obtained intensive psychotherapy training in dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), interpersonal therapy (IPT), cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), supportive therapy, and psychodynamic therapy. This early training in therapy firmly shapes her clinical practice.
