About Amy Dircks

Hello! I am an approachable and curious listener who will communicate with you in everyday language. We are the experts of our own lives, and I hope to support you in unpacking and digging into any challenges you might be facing. I will partner with you to understand your history, experiences, questions, and goals. As I get to know you, I listen for patterns over time in your words, behaviors, and reflections. Often these repetitions originate, without awareness, from our family of origin roles, past traumas, or environment. Together, we discuss how you might choose to integrate or adapt those patterns to complement your current needs.

I enjoy working with teen (16+) and adult individuals, couples, and families who are navigating anxiety, depression, grief, complex and/or terminal medical diagnoses, or various life transitions. My passion areas also include aging, perinatal mental health, longevity, eating disorders, military veterans, empty nesters, young adults, severe and persistent mental illness, and individuals in high stress careers. When I am not working, I enjoy cycling, practicing hot yoga, watching baseball, reading, and spending time with family and friends.

Whether used in my personal or professional life, I appreciate the value of “I make suggestions, you make decisions.” – Denis Morton, Peloton instructor

Everyone needs a direction, once in a while.

Meet the providers

Our providers are diverse and in keeping with our vision this allows for choice. We merge personal background and experience, education, creativity, and passion into a professional vision: commitment to diversity in both theory and practice. We make every effort to assign clinicians with respect to a client’s and/or family’s therapeutic and cultural needs.

Think of us as your cheerleaders on the sidelines. You've seen it, the smile, the simple nod of the head. Small gestures that say: we understand, we are listening and we are here for you. That's who we are.
