06 Feb 5 Signs You Are In A Happy And Healthy Relationship
Everyone experiences an absurd relationship at some point. Some of us have embarked on that journey with someone who is not about the drama.
It’s hard to see clearly in the foggy situation called love, and we may end up feeling little crazy at a time. But when you have a good healthy relationship, you’ll know. It just feels right.
A study out of Florida State University found that:
Healthy couples average one argument a week. Couples who made a habit of having angry but honest conversations were happier in the long run.
It’s good to think more about the signs that suggest you are in a happy and healthy relationship. Here are five most common ones.
1. Respect
Respect ensures that we feel valued. Show respect by thanking each other, show interest in one another’s days and truly listen to each other’s feelings.
2. Spend Time Together
You do not need a 5-course dinner. A simple walk on the beach and a conversation over a cup of coffee will do!
3. Gestures of Love
Sure everyone loves big romantic presents, however, the smaller ones like breakfast in bed are the most meaningful one.
4. Intimacy
Heard of oxytocin? This sometimes called the “love hormone” cements a strong bond, reduces stress and provides a foundation for lasting commitment.
5. Teamwork
Working as a team is important in a healthy relatioship. Think how easy (or not) it is to plane housework, shopping lists, a vacation, etc.
